  • Yes! Costa Rica is safe but we do recommend being cautious and keeping an eye on your valuables, petty theft may happen.

    - We recommend not leaving valuables unattended at the beaches or at the car while parked in a solitary place.

    - Please do not walk by yourself at night in solitary places

    - Drive carefully a slowly in the dirt roads.

  • The best way is to fly to Juan Santa María Airport in San José (SJO) and then catch a small plane from Sansa Airlines to Golfito which is about a 45 min flight. (The domestic airport is right next to the international so you can walk there) and then from Golfito rent a car in Enterprise from the Marina and drive to Pavones for about an hour.

The other way would be arriving to Juan Santa María and then renting a car and driving to Pavones which would take you between 6-7 hours, we can recommend places to stop on the way.

Also, we can help you coordinate a shuttle that can pick you up either in Juan Santa María or at the Golfito airport and we can get the car rental to come to the house for an extra fee.

We do recommend having a car in Pavones to make your experience more comfortable.

There is a secluded beach minutes away from the property which has a lot of rocks, we advise to only swim in low tide in the tide pools.
